Our Story

More than a way to get around.

Island Sidecar Tours grew from a love of traveling by motorcycle, exploring off the beaten track and learning about other cultures.

Drawing on over five years of guiding international guests by sidecar in Shanghai, China, and more than 30 years in education, we created an experience that brings together the freedom of a classic sidecar ride and the pleasure of learning through local stories and conversation.

Our hope is that you leave with wonderful memories, a better understanding of Balinese history and a deeper connection to its people.

Meet Nyoman and Putra, graduates of Island Sidecar Tours’ rigorous training program in safe driving, Balinese culture, storytelling and guest care. With warm hospitality and a local perspective, they’ll help you discover the stories and places that make Bali special.

Nyoman

Originally from Bali, Nyoman has travelled to over 100 countries. He brings a global perspective and a passion for sharing his wisdom and knowledge as he guides you through his home island.

Putra

Putra brings Balinese insight and a love for his country and culture. As your guide, he shares local stories and traditions, helping you connect with the places and people you encounter.
